There were a number of great questions put forward for November’s Ask The Expert webinar. We covered a number of them during the webinar, which you can watch on-demand in case you missed it. And I’ve outlined the more in depth answers below, with the relevant resources to help you to become an expert DocuSigner!
Make sure to register for December’s webinar as we demonstrate how to unlock the full potential of DocuSign Tags.
1) Can I save a workflow order for a document I regularly send?
Yes, you can use DocuSign Templates. Templates help streamline the sending process when you frequently send the same or similar documents. Templates allow you to create a standard document, with set recipient roles, signing tags and information fields. Templates can also contain the signing instructions for the document and any signature attachments.
When there are some differences in the information needed for a document, a sender can still use a template to provide some recipient and tag information, while still allowing the sender to make additions and changes to the document before sending.
2) Replacing a document within a template
Although you cannot edit the original document in DocuSign, you can make the change in Word and swap out the document on your template without losing the work you’ve already done to place your tags and set the workflow. To do so, go to your template and click on the menu beneath “Document Actions” to the right of the document icon. Select “Replace Document” from the menu.
3) Is there a way to speed up the tagging options?
There are several different ways that you can tag your documents for signature which include the use of Radio Buttons, Anchor Tags, Check boxes and using the ‘copying’ function.
More information can be found at:
4) What are the options around sending and signing languages?
DocuSign offers users the ability to sign documents in 43 localised languages. Languages are detected through browser settings, and document senders can also configure language settings accordingly.
DocuSign makes it easy for global users to send documents for signature in their native language. DocuSign offers 12 sending languages, including U.S. English. Languages are detected through browser settings, and can also be configured within Administration tools.
For a list of the languages, please see: https://www.docusign.co.uk/how-it-works/global
5) Sending and Signing Experience
DocuSign has launched a new Experience available to all users as of 5th December (some may already have access depending on your account type). More information can be found – https://www.docusign.co.uk/new-experience
6) Bulk Sending
There might be situations that require a sender to send the same document to a large number of recipients. A typical example is an updated policy document that all employees must review and sign. For these types of situations, you can use the Bulk Recipient feature to send the envelope.
With the Bulk Recipient feature, you simply create a file that contains the list of recipient names and email addresses, start an envelope, select your documents, add the Bulk Recipient file you created as a recipient, tag the documents and send the envelope. Once you send the envelope, DocuSign creates a separate envelope to each recipient in your Bulk Recipient file – eliminating the need to separately create and send an envelope for each signer.
Additionally, you can customise authentication (access code, ID check, phone authentication or social network IDs), add notes and other custom information for each recipient in the list by adding the information to the file.
More information on how to bulk send can be found here: https://www.docusign.co.uk/support/classic/documentation/cdse-user-guide/advanced-sending/using-the-bulk-recipient-feature
7) What Partners / Integrations do we have?
DocuSign has an extensive partner ecosystem offering a number of pre-built connectors. Our solution showcase show more information about these: https://www.docusign.co.uk/partners/solution-showcase
8) What would be the options if there wasn’t a pre-built connector
If there isn’t a pre-built connecter already available, or you want to create your own bespoke integration, you can do so using one of DocuSign’s APIs (SOAP or REST).
