The New South Wales Government makes accessing the world's most popular eSignature software easier for staff

Across the New South Wales public sector, thousands of agreements are generated every day. To make it easier, faster and more cost-effective to prepare and manage these agreements, the NSW Government has entered into a new era with DocuSign.

It’s official. DocuSign through its two resellers, FujiFilm and Amnesium have entered into an agreement with buy.nsw via Standing Offer Arrangement C8365 for the full suite of electronic signature solutions from DocuSign. This means that all government departments and government-owned corporations can now easily source the DocuSign Intelligent Agreement Platform for all of their e-signature requirements.

The move to electronic signatures delivers significant savings and productivity enhancements for government, businesses and constituents. According to our global research, DocuSign eSignature can save approximately $50 AUD per agreement by simply eliminating the need for a wet signature.

Significant legislative reform post-Covid has confirmed the validity of electronic signatures and remote witnessing across a wide range of agreements executed by Government. The NSW Crown Solicitor has issued guidance to assist agencies to confidently adopt electronic signatures and realise significant productivity benefits. The Commonwealth’s recent legislation changes further confirm the validity of agreements executed under the Corporations Act, ensuring that whether you deal with Business or Citizens, electronic signatures are the way to go.

Simplifying complex negotiations

Government organisations will be able to securely create, send, act on and manage all types of agreements – from standard HR, procurement, legal and finance contracts, to highly regulated documents such as permits and licences, or healthcare and justice agreements.

DocuSign simplifies and streamlines the process of reaching agreement for government departments involved in complex negotiations – for example, the provision of grants, construction approvals or even non-disclosure agreements. DocuSign’s Intelligent Agreement Platform has been recognised for its breadth and depth of offering, most recently by IDC’s eSignature Software 2023 Vendor Assessment.

Trusted by public sector agencies

Across Australia and New Zealand, over 320 public sector agencies already use DocuSign’s electronic signature software solution. DocuSign eSignature has successfully completed the 'Protected' level IRAP assessment, and our onshore data centres meet government agencies’ data residency requirements. The result is a superior e-signature experience while keeping Government documents and contracts secure and safe.

The DocuSign Intelligent Agreement Platform for Government lets public servants focus more time delivering services, by bringing together a comprehensive set of applications and integrations to modernise government agencies’ systems of agreement. With 400+ integrations, it seamlessly integrates with your existing technology platforms to create government entities that are faster, simpler, smarter and greener.
